The trendy off-road pram Britax Römer GO BIG is the ideal companion that makes your life a little easier: Suitable for any weather condition and on all terrain the robust and lightweight Britax Römer GO BIG offers maximum manoeuvrability. 奉獻台灣40年羅慧夫3日在美國睡夢中安詳辭世

長羅慧夫醫師對台灣醫療無私奉獻，影響深遠，於2017年獲頒國家最高榮譽的「總統文化獎」。（圖片來源/長庚醫院提供）

長庚紀念醫院創院院長及永遠名譽院長羅慧夫醫師，於今年12月3日清晨在美國密西根州大湍城於睡夢中安詳辭世。羅前院長把他人生最精華的40多年歲月，全都奉獻給台灣和長庚醫院，對長庚醫院、對台灣乃至對全世界的醫療都有不可磨滅的貢獻。感於羅前院長的一生貢獻，長庚醫院院將於近日邀請羅前院長家屬來台，舉辦追思會，悼念緬懷我們大家敬愛的羅慧夫前院長。

王永慶邀擔任院長，建立長庚醫院制度

羅慧夫名譽院長1976年於馬偕醫院院長任內，因受長庚醫院王永慶創辦人興辦非營利醫院的理念感召，而應聘擔任長庚醫院創院院長。在院長任內，他建立了醫師進修制度，鼓勵醫師除了看診、開刀之外，更要兼顧研究和教學；他同時成立了許多委員會，分別負責諸如感染管制、醫學研究、病人住院日控制…等等，讓醫師參與醫院的管理。

1978年卸任院長之後，更全心致力於長庚整形外科的發展。長庚醫院的整形外科即是由羅慧夫前院長一手創立，帶領發展茁壯，建立了顱顏中心、顯微重建中心、燙傷中心及美容醫學中心，成為全世界首屈一指的顱顏整形、肢體重建的醫療重鎮，培養了包括魏福全院士、陳昱瑞教授、莊垂慶教授、羅綸洲教授等國際重量級大師，全台灣整形外科的權威名醫，許多也都是他的門生弟子，此外也奠定長庚整形外科成為國際著名訓練中心的基礎，許多外國醫師都不遠千里來到台灣學習。

1989年12月羅名譽院長捐款成立財團法人羅慧夫顱顏基金會，造福海內外無數唇腭裂及顱顏病患；1999年獲李登輝總統頒發中華民國「紫色大綬景星勳章」，1999年11月退休返美定居。直到2013年10月羅名譽院長還曾經多次回來台灣教學和參與國際會議。

引進新醫療技術，打造多個醫療支援體系

羅名譽院長在台期間，致力於引進新醫療技術，培訓醫療人才，提昇台灣的醫療水準，並創辦了全台灣第一個小兒麻痺重建中心、加護病房、山地巡迴醫療、自殺防治中心（後發展成為生命線）、燙傷中心以及唇顎裂暨顱顏中心等醫療防治單位。由於羅名譽院長對台灣醫療無私奉獻，影響深遠，於2017年獲頒國家最高榮譽的「總統文化獎」。

感恩羅慧夫名譽院長對長庚醫院以及對台灣的貢獻，長庚醫院已邀請羅名譽院長的家屬於近日內來台，共同舉辦追思會，以表達對羅名譽院長的感謝和崇敬，屆時歡迎各界一同前往，緬懷一生奉獻台灣的羅名譽院長。
